Acoustic Testing / Pre-Completion Sound Insulation Testing:
Pre-completion sound insulation testing is a building regulation requirement for all “purpose built” & “formed by material change of use” properties. This acoustic testing is undertaken in a percentage of properties in each development to ensure that the separating walls & floors between rooms of neighbouring properties meet the requirements as defined by Approved Document E, Code for Sustainable Homes, or other applicable regulations & standards.
Acoustic Tests offer accredited sound insulation testing for Building Regulations Approved Document E compliance, Code for Sustainable Homes compliance, BB93 (educational facilities) and Health Technical Memorandum 08-01: Acoustics (HTM 08-1). Accreditation is provided by SITMA or The Association of Noise Consultants (through partnership).
